Ringing in “The Book of Voodoo Communications”

The NYTimes has reported that the New York State’s top court on Thursday upheld the removal of a Niagara Falls city court judge who jailed 46 people after no one would own up to a cellphone that rang during his court session.

One Ring to rule them all,
One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

The above words are obtained from J. R. R. Tolkien’s book, THE LORD OF THE RINGS. They are etched on Frodo’s golden ring and are very relevant to current events 55 years subsequent to being published in a fictitious novel.

Allow me to point out the bizarre analogy between the above cited words and Restaino’s cell phone tirade.

The Analogy:

One Ring to rule them all…

Surmises the sound of the ring of a cell phone while the ruling judge was presiding over a domestic court hearing

One Ring to find them…

Corresponds to the inquiry the judge makes to find the source of the ring.

One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them…

Conveys the judge’s order to jail all of the people in his court room for their failure to find or identify the ring.

A premise of “The Book of Voodoo Communications” is that all knowledge to be learned and experiences to be witnessed have already been documented in “The Book of Voodoo Communications.”
