Cyberculture News Names Year of the Circumcision
New Year's resolution: Getting circumcised.
Party on dude for ye should be praying!
New research from a contention of religious scholars has surfaced and is questioning the name for the 1st day of the year. The research provides facts that the 1st day of the new year is also a celebrated day pooh poohed by the Vatican and 100's of millions of Catholics worldwide. The Church of England and the Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church also rejoice in this feast. It is called "The Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord" day.
In light of the fact that "The Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord" day was historically acknowledged before New Years Day, many are suggesting that New Years Eve be renamed, The Eve of Circumcision and New Years Day be renamed, Circumcision Day. Also, instead of using the "Happy New Year" expression, promoters are suggesting a "Happy Circumcision" greeting.
Recent brainstorming sessions evolved with conflicting opinions relative to exactly when The Eve of Circumcision and Circumcision Day should begin. They are creating an interest in Circumcision Day and jeopardizing the current status of the 1st day of the year label.
Geographical and cultural cliques have emerged from all around the globe insisting that The Eve of Circumcision and Circumcision Day should commence with their own exclusive hour, minute and second within their respective time and space environment. Insular sectors are not only dividing continents, but also creating fractions in countries and their respective states, townships and local jurisdictions.
Some cultures are erecting Stonehenge like monuments as depicted by the mysterious photo rumored to be found on an uncharted isolated land mass near the Easter Islands.
For those that are interested in having New Years Day renamed to Circumcision Day, make sure you greet everyone you meet with the phrase, "Happy Circumcision Day" rather than the retro, "Happy New Year." Enthusiates may also want to organize or participate in a "Happy Circumcision Day" flash mob on January 1st.
Have a safe and Happy Circumcision Day!
